CSI Sands (N.E.) operates state of the art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI, Buffalo, NY and Cleveland, OH.
We are currently searching for an Financial Controller to complement our team in Buffalo, NY. The Financial Controller will lead the financial management and reporting function for CSI Sands (N.E.) and will be an integral part of a fast-paced production environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting
- Day-to-Day Accounting Operations Management including:
- overseeing purchase orders and credit card expenditures
- managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Year End audit
- Insurance Management
- Yearly Regulatory Filings
- Addressing and managing any ad-hoc financial or operational requests from various stakeholders
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years solid experience as Controller with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Experience in the trucking industry would be considered an asset
- Experience with inventory management to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation
- Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to organize, plan daily tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Proactive with an ability to demonstrate a hands-on approach to leadership and collaboration
