The Acquisitions Analyst will report to the SVP of Investments and will work directly with VP of Acquisitions and is responsible for analyzing potential acquisitions by utilizing historical property operations in comparison with other Laramar-owned properties. This individual will also research and analyze new markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create financial models in excel to project investment returns for prospective multi-family investments.
· Conduct market surveys of competing rental properties to determine the current market rent levels/standards.
· Draft investor memoranda and other investor presentations and business plans
· Assist in prioritizing deal flow and managing deal pipeline.
· Work independently to analyze due diligence information and incorporate in the proforma analysis and business plans.
· Research demographic and economic factors that impact U.S. real estate markets and potential investment strategies.
· Provide market information to investors, lenders, other Laramar employees, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate underwriting with a working knowledge of real estate finance including debt and equity structures.
- Expert level in Excel, including experience building excel models to evaluate multiple potential underwriting scenarios.
· Exhibit proficiency with Argus including detailed modeling and analytics.
· Solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach.
· Work without direct supervision and independently with broad guidelines.
· Build teamwork and cooperation among individuals and departments by sharing information and resources. In addition, works to achieve company goals and outcomes.
· Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills by drafting investment memo’s and business plans.
· Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
· Must be an individual who is dependable, reliable, and accountable. One who follows through on commitments and produces timely work, with high standards, and who “pitches in” to get the job done.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
· Demonstrate proficiency with all other Microsoft Office products.
