Position Overview
The Lead Concierge plays a key leadership role in delivering elevated, concierge-level service to LYCs members and guests. This individual oversees day-to-day front desk operations and team performance, ensuring smooth execution of front office functions while upholding the clubs high standards of hospitality, organization, and communication.
As a hands-on leader, the Lead Concierge trains and mentors staff, implements operational procedures, and fosters interdepartmental collaboration to support an exceptional and seamless club experience. The ideal candidate is a confident, polished professional with a service-first mindset, strong organizational abilities, and demonstrated experience in private clubs, boutique hotels, or luxury hospitality.

Pay Range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Guest Experience
- Deliver warm, personalized, concierge-style service to members and guests at all times.
- Handle all inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and with discretion, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Act as an on-site ambassador for the club, anticipating member needs and exceeding expectations.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and visually appealing lobby and front desk environment.
Leadership & Supervision
- Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate front desk and night staff, including seasonal personnel.
- Lead by example, promoting a service-focused, team-oriented culture.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and cross-training to ensure consistent service standards.
- Serve as the front desks point of contact for the Director of Clubhouse Services and collaborate on strategic initiatives.
Operations & Administration
- Implement and uphold front desk policies, procedures, and service standards aligned with the clubs mission.
- Monitor and manage front desk operations, including check-ins, reservations, concierge requests, communications, and financial transactions.
- Ensure all member-facing communications are accurate, timely, and brand-aligned.
- Prepare and distribute daily event sheets and collaborate with departments to ensure readiness and member satisfaction.
Retail & Inventory Oversight
- Oversee the presentation, organization, and cleanliness of the club shop, ensuring a polished and inviting retail environment.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock assessments, and coordinate restocking to minimize shortages and overages.
- Fulfill and track special orders, including reactivated online orders, from placement through delivery with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support merchandising strategies to enhance retail sales and member engagement.
Interdepartmental Coordination
- Maintain strong working relationships with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure a smooth and cohesive member experience.
- Communicate proactively and professionally across departments to anticipate needs and resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and event planning discussions as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a front desk or guest service role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity in a private club, luxury hotel, or high-end hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and training abilities with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
- Proven excellence in delivering high-touch, concierge-level service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, property management systems (PMS), and retail inventory software.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities; able to remain composed under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of private club culture and service expectations preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.), bending, and reaching.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, member-focused environment.
Schedule & Availability
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
