NOTE LOCATION: This position is located in the Laramie River Valley, 2 hours west of Fort Collins, CO.
Larimer County Road and Bridge is looking for hardworking, motivated individuals to join our team. The Road and Bridge Department is responsible for operating and maintaining the transportation system in Larimer County; the Seasonal Road Maintenance positions serve a vital role in our ability to successfully meet this responsibility.

The typical schedule for this position is 7am-5:30pm Monday to Thursday in the Summer, 7am-3:30pm Monday to Friday in the Winter. Applicants should be reliable, punctual, and able to qualify for a CDOT Flagging Certificate. A valid Driver's License is required, and a road driving test will be conducted. Employees must provide their own safety-toe shoes. Medical insurance may be available.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Performing various tasks under different levels of supervision and in various locations throughout Larimer County, including operating rubber tire and steel drum rollers, power brooms, farm tractors with mower attachments, and similar equipment used in roadway construction and maintenance.
- Using hand tools such as shovels, picks, asphalt rakes, chainsaws, weed eaters, blowers, hand brooms, and crack seal squeegees.
- Operating commercial motor vehicles and heavy construction equipment as assigned.
- Performing physical labor for extended periods outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

- Demonstrates consistent and reliable attendance.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
- Understands principles, practices, and techniques of heavy highway construction and maintenance.
- Reads and comprehends department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Operates Larimer County-approved computer programs as needed.

- Related experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Colorado Flaggers Certification within two (2) weeks of employment required.
- Possession of a valid driver license required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age on date of hire, required.
- Safety-toe shoes, required.
- Possession of, and ability to maintain a class ‘B' or a class ‘A' commercial driver license (CDL) without the following restrictions: 'L' -air brake restriction, 'O' –no/Trctr/Trlr restriction(s), ‘E' -No manual transmission, ‘X'-No cargo in CMV tank vehicle or ‘Z' - No full air brake equipped CMV required.
- Ability to obtain 'N' Tank endorsement by date of hire required.
