We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to oversee all facets of operations at The Faust Hotel, including the exciting new Werner & Wilhelm Restaurant and associated patios and event spaces. This pivotal role involves collaboration with our Hotel Manager, Chef, and hotel and restaurant teams to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel management and a passion for hospitality, and be ready to re-open a historical property that is completely renovated and re-imagined.
We want a growing leader with a minimum of 5 years of leadership in a General Manager position, 10 years in the industry, ideally having led both hotel and restaurant teams. The available role will take the lead on driving success by surpassing planned project objectives for both revenue and profit, development of all team members, including the leadership team, a commitment to the local community, as well as enhancing the guest and employee experience. It is crucial for this candidate to have the capability to lead strategically, look ahead, and provide detailed financial analytics, not only creating budgets but also assessing performance to budget, developing capital expenditure plans, and cash flow projections. All this, while managing the minutes, hours, and day parts for the outlets and hotel.
The right leader for this position is a self-led driver, familiar with complex and high-volume operations who operates with integrity. Food and Beverage experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant is a must. They possess the skills to communicate effectively up, down, and laterally to a diverse group. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building a team, exceeding guest expectations, and with an abundance of creativity.
The restaurants are completely re-imagined and newly renovated. Excellent dining atmosphere, a great bar, outdoor covered patio with a two-sided fireplace, a basement wine and whiskey cellar, event space, front patio, and lobby bar. Guests staying in the hotel will be steeped in history and wrapped in luxury.
Compensation: $115,000 plus Bonus and Benefits
