The Vice President of Sales is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the company's sales and business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion. This role provides visionary leadership to the entire sales organization, working closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve organizational goals and strengthen Larsen Manufacturing’s competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Additional duties may be assigned by the President or Executive Committee.
- Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals, including product/technology roadmaps, market penetration, and competitive positioning.
- Serve as a core member of the Executive Committee, contributing to overall company strategy, decision-making, and organizational alignment.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics across sales functions to ensure accountability and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with the Executive Committee, Business Unit Directors, and Strategic Accounts Sales Manager to define sales goals, policies, and key initiatives.
- Design and manage national account strategies, sales territories, and quota plans to maximize revenue and optimize customer coverage.
- Recruit, lead, coach, and evaluate a high-performing sales team, including direct reports and independent sales representatives.
- Lead the sales forecasting and budgeting process; deliver regular performance reports to executive leadership.
- Foster alignment across departments including product development, marketing, engineering, operations, and sales administration.
- Partner with Business Units to articulate and promote Larsen’s unique technology advantages and market differentiators.
- Monitor competitive landscape, customer trends, and market data to inform strategic adjustments.
- Identify and drive business development efforts to capture new markets and expand customer base across industry segments.
- Support product lifecycle activities—from concept through commercialization—ensuring customer requirements are integrated into development.
- Guide customer relationship strategies and manage key accounts as necessary to support strategic business objectives.
- Lead contract strategy and negotiations for major customer agreements, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals.
- Represent Larsen Manufacturing at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote company capabilities and generate leads.
- Support the creation of technical and sales collateral in partnership with marketing teams.
- Champion the voice of the customer through ongoing feedback collection, surveys, and action plans for improvement.
- Recommend and implement changes to sales policies, tools, or programs that enhance productivity and effectiveness.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead the entire Sales Organization, including regional sales leaders, strategic account managers, and independent representatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including direct management of high-value ($5M ) customer accounts.
- Proven success in building and managing strategic or global account relationships with a consistent record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong background in customer and market engagement, sales operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deep understanding of sales and customer program management practices and methodologies.
- Ability to create and present 2-3 year product and customer roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills—across phone, email, and in-person interactions—with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
- Executive presence with a professional and credible image in the marketplace.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Technical understanding of R&D and engineering processes related to the metal manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Pay: $159,827.00 - $176,235.00 per year
