Our client, a rapidly growing company in the Hospitality space, is seeking a motivated and experienced Privacy Counsel to join the legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in privacy law and a strong understanding of data protection regulations. This role will be critical in ensuring our compliance with privacy laws and maintaining the trust of customers.
This role is onsite multiple days a week in Denver, and relocation candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies and procedures, and conduct privacy impact assessments and data protection audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into business processes and product development.
- Respond to privacy-related inquiries and complaints from customers and regulatory bodies, and conduct training and awareness programs for employees.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging privacy trends and legislative developments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
- 2-5 years of experience in privacy law, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws.
