About Us:

Las Vegas Cat Hospital is a new, privately-owned feline-only, fear free, full service professional veterinary clinic. Our mission is to provide specialty level care to cats through outstanding customer service, excellent client education, and fear free patient handling in a calm, compassionate manner. We are looking to add a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to our team to help us deliver top-notch service to our clients and their pets. We plan to open July 2025.

Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and highly organized Veterinary Receptionist who is obsessed with cats to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining office organization, and supporting the veterinary team in delivering quality care to cats and their owners. If you have strong communication skills, a love for cats, and a passion for helping others, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service & Communication:

  • Greet clients and their cats warmly and professionally.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries related to appointments, services, and general clinic information.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage patient records, and update appointment schedules as needed.
  • Provide information to clients about clinic services, pricing, and policies.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage the clinic’s front desk, including checking in and checking out clients.
  • Process client payments, maintain accurate billing records, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • File and maintain medical records, ensuring all client and pet information is current and confidential.

Clinic Organization:

  • Assist in maintaining the clinic’s general cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor and order office and clinic supplies.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Follow up with clients post-visit to check on the health and well-being of their cats.
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for clients and their cats.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Assist veterinary staff as needed with administrative tasks and scheduling.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to interact with compassion, professionalism and empathy when working with clients and their pets.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures (preferred but not required).
  • Willingness to handle and restrain cats safely with compassion and respect.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
