What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Intake Coordinator position at Las Vegas Rescue Mission?
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is looking for an Intake Coordinator to join our team. We are a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for adult men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and/or addiction.
The Intake Coordinator is directly responsible for the placement of new clients into the ‘Lighthouse Recovery Program’ at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. The function of the Intake Coordinator is to review clinical documentation and applications, provide initial screenings for treatment appropriateness, and communicate throughout placement process with community agencies, families, or self-referrals.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Create a client focused experience for all potential clients seeking our services via phone and email communication. Provide a high level of customer service in all interactions.
- Thoroughly review and summarize all necessary documentation including client applications, assessments, hospital records, medications, and legal records.
- Responsible for managing the admissions process to completion of intake.
- Orient and intake clients into our treatment program.
- Create new client charts with emphasis on a high level of accuracy.
- Facilitate open communication with Supervisor, Recovery Team, Medical Team, and Welfare.
- Manage, enter or review data as required.
- Represent the Mission in a professional manner and be able to communicate effectively internally (i.e. with facility staff members, residents, overnight guests, volunteers and donors) or externally (i.e. Clark County, community meetings, coalitions, etc.).
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understands person centered practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Google Documents.
- Previous experience with Electronic Health Care Records or Clarity Human Services Systems/ Homeless Management Information System (CMIS/HMIS) is an asset.
- Previous history working with vulnerable population is an asset.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, offering a competitive benefit package and paid vacation. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
