Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Cocktail Server - Nightlife is to provide an engaging, sophisticated guest service experience in a modern ultra-lounge venue. This position will provide beverage service including the upsell of bottle and VIP services.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Takes and delivers accurate drink orders to the guests in a timely manner with a positive attitude.
- Provides information to ultra -lounge guests regarding available beer, wine and premium spirits.
- Upsell of Bottle, Beverage and VIP Services to ultra-lounge guests.
- Maintains active social media accounts to promote the venue.
- Communicates with management and other staff to rectify any and all guest’s needs, comments or incidents.
- Handles cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provides accurate directions and information for guest inquires and is knowledgeable about all aspects of The Venetian Resort services, features, attractions, promotions and special events.
- Consistently maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene adhering to Company appearance standards and the theme of the venue.
- Attend all required training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and Food handler's card (Health card) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Two (2) or more years of recent (within the last 5 years) nightclub/day club experience in a first class establishment, with preference at an Ultra-lounge or similar venue on the Las Vegas strip.
- Two (2) or more years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience providing bottle service and upselling VIP Services.
- Recent knowledge and terminology of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Must be familiar with domestic and import beers, different types of wine, premium and brand name spirits, garnishes and beverage presentations.
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs.
- Make-up technique and style should stay current and in line with current fashion standards and trends as deemed by management.
- Prior modeling or spokesperson experience preferred.
- Must have exception guest service skills; engaging individual with experience interacting with a sophisticated guest population.
- Has recent knowledge of attractions/restaurants in the Las Vegas area.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and engaging environment while providing unmatched guest service.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Must have the physical ability to maneuver in crowded areas carrying a tray unassisted.

- Must be able to stand or walk an eight hour shift wearing high heels.
