This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Appointment Scheduler to join its team. Our staff works together in supporting several clinics across the city, and has been doing so, in the Las Vegas Valley, for decades.

Position Overview:
Operates clinic phone system, provides patients with appointments. Enters new patient demographics.
Essential Expectations:
Scheduling patient appointments while following all physician's specific requirements
Get updates from existing patients and make changes in their records
Work bumped list as assigned
Inform patients of past due balances
Task/route messages to physicians and medical assistants
Keep up with tasks assigned via Urocharts
Performs related work as required
Treat co-workers and patients with courtesy and respect.
Assist other staff members and supports the team approach
Arrive to work on time and be consistent with attendance
Willing to work overtime when requested
Conduct self in accordance with Las Vegas Urology's employee manual
Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 year scheduling experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Knowledge of phone and communication procedures
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction
Ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant telephone voice
Proficient in MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Power Point)
Ability to work in a multi-task, high energy environment.
Ability to prioritize
Ability to be proactive and initiate processes with little supervision
Understanding of how other departments impact or are impacted by Scheduling
Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
Physical Demands:
Working in an office environment and requires sitting for a long period of time. Some bending, lifting and stretching required. Working under stress and use of telephone required. Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations. Involves contact with patients.
