This role is 100% on-site and offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting while contributing to strategic decision-making.
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Develop and manage forecasts and annual budgets to support financial planning
- Conduct financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and GAAP standards
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate with external CPA for annual tax filings
- Manage cash flow and financial planning to optimize company resources.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Assistant Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10 years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably in CPG or manufacturing
- Previous experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
