Director of Distribution and Sales Responsibilities:
- Lead operations across multiple distribution centers, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and performance metrics are met
- Oversee expense management, regulatory compliance, safety performance, and operational execution
- Drive the execution of business initiatives, ensuring operational goals are achieved across locations
- Identify and implement system and automation improvements to enhance execution and customer experience
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating customer needs to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Drive new sales growth and ensure quality service delivery to support client retention
- Manage operating budgets, including labor and expenses, ensuring targets are met while optimizing financial performance
- Develop and implement operational strategies in partnership with senior leadership, ensuring cost-effective, timely outcomes
- Promote a safety culture, reducing injuries and ensuring compliance with safety programs
Director of Distribution and Sales Requirements:
- 8 years of experience leading multi-site wholesale distribution operations
- 5-10 years of sales and customer relationship management experience with a focus on profitability and market share growth
- 5 years of leadership experience, developing high-performing teams
- Proven ability to build and track operational KPIs, with experience in strategies that have driven team success
- Resilient, resourceful, and proactive in overcoming challenges
- Ability to travel 50-70% annually to ensure effective management of remote teams and client relationships
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and business planning
