LaSalle Network has partnered with a nonprofit organization in Chicago looking to hire on a Project Administrator to cover a maternity leave!
Our client is growing nonprofit that aims to diminish the environmental impact of the U.S. dairy industry while ensuring economic viability for dairy farmers. Representing a significant portion of U.S. dairy farmers, our client collaborates with experts, companies, and agencies to tackle manure management challenges and foster innovative solutions.
We are seeking a part-time (20-30 hours/week) experienced and detail-oriented contractor to serve as a Contract Project Administrator to provide project support while our team members are on maternity leave. This role involves coordinating and overseeing the administrative aspects of several ongoing projects, ensuring they stay on track.
Project Administrator Responsibilities:
- Assist with the execution of several grant projects underway, including contracting, participant outreach, and maintaining effective communication with project funders and partners
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and provide regular status updates to leadership and project partners
- Maintain project processes and keep project documentation, contracts and reporting organized
- Act as the primary point of contact for project partners for project-related questions, including government agencies and dairy companies
- Draft monthly and quarterly project updates for distribution to project partners, and organize and host meetings, when necessary
- Monitor and report deliverables for grant activities, providing progress updates to improve project outcomes
- Escalate potential issues to leadership
Project Administrator Requirements:
- Proven experience in project administration or management, preferably in agriculture. Bonus if experience working with the USDA NRCS or governmental agencies.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
Please note this will be a contract role with a definitive start and end date. It will be a W2 contract so the candidate will be paid a flat hourly rate and tax deductions will be taken out.
