Outside Sales Engineer
Come join our fast growing, energetic and exciting agency! LaSalle Reps is an electrical manufacturing representative company with an opening for an Outside Sales/Application Engineer. We represent fortune 500 manufacturing companies with the goal of increasing their product sales, market share, and profitability.
The primary function of this role is to produce sales activity for our manufacturers through direct channel, contractor, end user and specifier interaction and support. Specifically focused on larger electrical contractors and end users in the NYC area. There is a direct responsibility for assigned accounts as well as increasing our market share amongst all customers.
This position seeks an individual with specific knowledge and customer relationships focused on electrical infrastructure equipment, complex and hazardous environment apparatuses and lighting, grounding, bonding, lightning protection and firestop solutions amongst many other products across our portfolio.
Position Criteria:
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment.
- Strong relationships with key NYC based contractors and consulting engineers
- Strong relationships with NYC based end users (both private and public)
- Ability to self-regulate work load and responsibilities
- Ability to quote, negotiate, close and manage orders
- Strong market knowledge and relationships in the NYC metro area.
This is an outside sales position which will require the incumbent to travel within the NYC Metro Area (NYC, Long island, NJ, Hudson Valley) to visit customers and job sites as necessary. This position requires minimal in office attendance with all tools necessary for remote operation being provided by the employer.
