We looking for a competent and friendly dental assistant who will make goal possible and will make our office more efficient and always a pleasant experience for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. You should be a team-player who will make things in the office run smoothly. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail and will take care of high tech equipment real well. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations and co workers and will not drag other staff down. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. You should be willing to learn new skills like working with Dental Lasers, Dental Scanner, CBCT 3D xrays, Dental assistant should be willing to attend dental seminars and classes from time to time to improve skills as a dental assistant. Speak Spanish language is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in the dental office making sure to take them in as soon as the front office is done with paperwork
- Prepare patient room very thoroughly for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort and safety
- Select and set up instruments completely including equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations using Autoclave and statim G4 sterilizer
- Assist the dentist through 4-6 handed dentistry
- Take alginate impressions including pouring models
- Coronal polish
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Remove temporary crowns and cleans dental cement after cementation
- Take digital xrays, intra-oral photos and scanning teeth for lab work
- Prepare and keep properly after each use dental equipment like dental Lasers, X guide surgical machine, RCT equipment with extreme care
- Keep the dental room clean, properly disinfected and well-stocked
- Do daily, weekly and monthly maintenance procedure in the office for sterilizers and dental units
- Schedule appointments and take patient payments if needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Must be able to discuss treatment plans and financial to the patients if needed when the office manager is busy or out for the day
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant at least 2 years
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations (OSHA)
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing, taking digital xrays, take intraoral photos take alginate impressions, pouring models, clean dental cements, remove temporary crowns, polish acrylics and remove sutures
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills. Should be able to communicate with patients like discussing treatment and others with great ease.
- Must be able to work with other staff member as a team without any negativity. Protecting each other like family
- Attention to detail and willing to learn a lot of new things in dentistry
- Well-organized, reliable, trustworthy and will take care of the practice at the highest level
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. RDA)
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Must be willing to increase knowledge in Dentistry learning more new things without hesitation.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
