Job Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strategic role in aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives. This position requires a strong generalist background across various HR disciplines while maintaining a hands-on approach to administrative and tactical work. The HRBP must be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities, including reporting, documentation, and compliance.
Location: Southern California and Hawaii
Pay: $120,000 - $130,000
Travel: Presence required in LaserAway stores up to 75% (3-4 days per work)
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted HR advisor and business partner to operations, sales, and medical teams across the Southern California market (Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego) and Hawaii.

Act as a strategic HR leader while also handling generalist and administrative responsibilities, including emails, phone calls, pulling reports, and completing HR forms.

Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Liaise workplace accommodations and workers' compensation cases, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.

Utilize workforce data analytics to provide insights and recommendations that support business objectives.

Partner with leadership to identify risks and proactively develop solutions that align with company goals.

Travel 75% of the time via car or air across locations through the Southern California and Hawaii region to support onsite HR needs.

Lead HR initiatives that foster employee engagement, retention, and professional development.

Stay informed on evolving HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to guide leadership and influence decision-making.

Support the companys commitment to a customer service-oriented, servant leadership approach by ensuring HR policies and practices align with a people-first culture.

Participate in and facilitate HR training, seminars, and webinars, with potential reimbursement for continued HR knowledge and development.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR function and business needs.
What you bring:

2-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in multi-unit/retail, medical, or wellness industries.

Experience in California labor law.

Strong generalist experience across multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, compliance, and workforce analytics.

Ability to navigate and support the complexities of medical/healthcare compliance, sales, and retail environments.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present HR recommendations and data-backed insights to leadership.

Proactive problem-solver with the confidence to present risks and solutions cohesively to business leaders.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75%) across Southern California and Hawaii, including both car and air travel.

Demonstrated ability to support a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Experience or strong interest in workforce data analytics is a plus.
