The Lasko Press Setup Technician plays an important role in the smooth operation of the press department. Key responsibilities of the position include installing and removing metal stamping dies, troubleshooting minor equipment issues throughout the department, and adjusting as necessary, changing out guns, shanks, and cables, and adjusting weld parameters as needed to ensure proper quality of parts produced.
This is a hands-on plant floor position located in Franklin, TN.
Essential Functions
- Installing and removing dies as needed for repair or changeovers
- Troubleshooting and adjusting dies as needed
- Troubleshooting and adjusting the metal bender to ensure proper quality of parts
- Troubleshooting and adjusting body transfer systems as needed
- Troubleshooting and adjusting metal feeders as needed
- Adjusting weld parameters and weld gun location as needed to ensure proper quality of parts
- Changing out tips, guns, shanks, and cables as needed
- Completing production logs and downtime paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies and Abilities
- Ability to think proactively, properly follow instructions, and complete duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work around loud equipment.
- Must be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Must be mechanically adept
- Must possess basic knowledge of tools.
Required/Desired Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
