At Last Bottle Inc., we take pride in delivering high-quality wine to our customers with efficiency and precision. As a Warehouse Ops Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, supporting our team, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with computer systems to manage workflow and track inventory.
- Coordinate warehouse tasks and ensure work availability for associates.
- Balance headcount with workload, adjusting assignments as needed.
- Report issues and operational challenges to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Use problem-solving skills and sound judgment to maintain steady workflow.
- Serve as a backup lead within the department or other areas as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality while managing business operations.
- Monitor warehouse associates’ accuracy and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Identify and report safety concerns to management.
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs, including weekends.
Essential Warehouse Functions:
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, order selectors, and powered pallet jacks (certification provided).
- Safely lift and move boxes, products, or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs for extended shifts (8–10 hours).
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Follow safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance guidelines.
- Communicate effectively, understand oral instructions, and read documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals in English.
- Adapt to daily task assignments and support general warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and dependable with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including overtime as needed.
- May be subject to vacation blackout periods during peak business times.
- Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) scanners is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
