📢We are looking for our next OPERATIONAL SAFETY DIRECTOR for our Cargo area in Miami, who will be responsible for guaranteeing comprehensive safety in LATAM Airlines' Cargo operations, including operational safety and occupational safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective risk management and the protection of employees, infrastructure and assets.
✍️What would be your main challenges?
- Ensure the correct application of safety protocols in cargo handling worldwide, including dangerous goods, in compliance with FAA, IATA and other regulatory entities.
- Coordinate the execution of internal and external audits on operational safety, ensuring the implementation of improvement plans and promoting preventive and corrective actions, acting as a reference in the investigation and management of operational safety events.
- Provide support to all operational areas on dangerous goods issues, including the creation and updating of training content.
- Implement and manage operational safety indicators (SPI and MMPP), ensuring compliance and reporting.
- Manage the operational safety reports collected through AQD with the network's warehouse and ramp operational managers.
- Implement occupational risk prevention programs, ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards (OSHA and local regulations) and ensure the safety of employees in cargo warehouses, ensuring the use of personal protective equipment, safe work protocols and designing and coordinating occupational safety training for the teams.
- Responsible for the planning, execution and management of CRE/PRE drills for air accident response and coordination of the Hurricane Committee, ensuring the company's preparation for extreme weather events, as well as participating in strategic planning for emergency response.
- Represent LATAM before TSA, CBP, FAA, OSHA and other regulatory entities in the U.S., coordinate cargo security audits and act as a key interlocutor in strategic meetings with security and aviation entities.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies/processes to strengthen cargo security and manage the cargo security budget.

- At least 8 years of previous work experience is required.
- Previous experience in managing large teams in production areas is required.
- Bilingual English-Spanish is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
- Process-focused and results oriented.
