About the Role:
Lateral Link is assisting a prestigious law firm in Chicago with a search for a Trademark Attorney with 3 years of experience to handle U.S. and international trademark prosecution, beginning with policing, managing, and protecting expansive trademark portfolios on behalf of famous brands. This Attorney will help clients clear new trademarks in multiple jurisdictions, register marks with the relevant trademark offices, police marks against infringers, and defend clients' use from threat of attack, ideally resolving potential conflicts before they reach litigation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly regarded group directly alongside the practice group leader. Requirements:
Candidates must have an active license to practice law in the U.S., a law degree from a top 30 law school, and at least 3 years of post-JD experience in trademark matters in a sophisticated law firm or in-house legal setting. Additional intellectual property experience in design patents, copyright, trade secret, and false advertising would be a plus.
