Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nurse’s Aide.
- Prior CNA experience required.
- Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and dementia care preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to medical emergencies.
Latham may be able to provide temporary individual housing based on availability!
Compensation: $23.38 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling medical and dental appointments.
- Driving individuals to medical/dental visits, providing medical information to the providers at the appointments and completing paperwork/follow up related to the appointment.
- Provide personal care functions for individuals with disabilities. These duties include but are not limited to changing, toileting, wound care, and laundry. These tasks should be undertaken with a focus on encouraging individuals to maintain an appropriate level of independent functioning.
- Reporting medical and health concerns to Nurse Manager while working closely with Adult Services Nursing Team and program managers and staff.
- Ensuring excellent treatment according to regulations and prescribed need.
- Assist in administering prescribed medications and treatments.
- Order and refill medical and first aid supplies.
- Maintain medical files in neat, organized, and timely manner.
- Document data and pertinent information in medical files.
- Ability to complete vital signs.
- Attend team meetings, as necessary.
- Meet on a regular basis with the AS Nurse Manager and Nursing Team to review patient care.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee’s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies.
