A little about the position:
Job Summary
Reporting into the Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for supporting key business deliverables within the department. The role will have a high level of interaction within the Finance group. The role includes assistance in the monthly close process of the US/CA Ledgers, involving creation and posting of journal entries and performance of account reconciliations. The role also includes assistance in the preparation of financial statements to be filed with the SEC.
Some of What You Will Do:
- Preparation of journal entries and post to the general ledger each month, ensuring proper backup exists.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Preform month-end general ledger close procedures and prepare account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close and fiscal year audit process.
- Support analysis of new accounting pronouncements including recommendations for transitioning to the new pronouncement.
- Work with Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable Departments to improve processes.
- Support External reporting in preparation of financial statements
- Complete adhoc controllership projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
- B.S. in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
- Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Public Company experience preferred
- Demonstrated excellent accounting/financial analysis skills
- Strong PC, Excel and ERP/Business Systems knowledge
- Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Able to organize and prioritize assignments; ability to work independently or in a team environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
Bonus: MIB Tier 4, 7.5% of base pay
