Job Summary
As a Project Manager, Value Engineering you will Manage Value Engineering projects in the Auto Covers business unit for on-time delivery, and financial goal fulfillment. Plan and organize project funnel building workshop. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost/value improvement strategies. Manage changes with cross-functional stake holders for the successful completion of projects and safeguard the product quality.

Salary Range: $75,000-$120,000/year.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
Bonus: MIB-Tier 3-10%

Job Summary
As a Project Manager, Value Engineering you will Manage Value Engineering projects in the Auto Covers business unit for on-time delivery, and financial goal fulfillment. Plan and organize project funnel building workshop. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost/value improvement strategies. Manage changes with cross-functional stake holders for the successful completion of projects and safeguard the product quality.
Some of What You Will Do:
- Supporting individual project teams and managing project progress from the cradle to grave.
- Organizing idea creation workshops, maintaining strong project pipeline.
- Coordinating with cross-functional stake holders to ensure the seamless implementation of projects and safeguard the product quality and value to customers.
- Verifying cost-saving, commercial viability, operational practicability, and technical feasibilities of proposed ideas.
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Performing project lead role and fill the resource gap as needed.
- Defining project scope, identifying deliverable, building timeline and assigning tasks to team members.
- Driving project progress according to defined timeline, following up individual deliverable, and prioritizing tasks.
- Managing project expense, writing and submitting capital expense request, and tracking the project spending.
- Holding project review meeting, recording the progress, and communicating with cross-functional team and upper management.
- Taking leadership for overcoming project roadblocks.
- Interacting with suppliers, issuing PO for engineering test samples, and tracking supplier progress.
- Running Daily Management meeting to keep team on-tasks and on schedule.
- Calculating and reporting the finance results of projects accurately with data support.
- Managing project risks, tracking the status of mitigation actions and communicating calculated risk to upper management.
- Counter measuring miss of project timeline or saving goal.
- Refining project management process from project lesson learnt.
- Up to 20% overnight travel can be expected.
- 5 years’ project management experiences in diverse industries, PMP certificate preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in value engineering or a related role preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering
- Past working experience as mechanical engineer preferred
- Proven track record of leading multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
- Ability to play dual roles as project manager or project lead.
- An energetic leader and team player, ability to get thing done in the most effective way.
- Possess cross-functional project management concepts, methods and practices
- A strong commitment to accountability, collaboration and execution
- A strong goal-oriented mindset driving for getting-thing-done
- Must have effective written/oral communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and foster strong cross functional relationships across the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving ability with out-of-box mindset
- Must be detail oriented, well-organized, and have excellent follow-up skills
- Visual project management and risk management experience
- Hands-on person willing to work at manufacturing setting
- Proactive, ability to avert risk and chart the course through challenging
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
