About The Role
The Business Development Senior Specialist - FIG and Finance is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team and will be responsible for working in close collaboration with key market leaders and colleagues across the Business Development (BD) department to support the global Finance Department, as well as the global Financial Institutions and Fintech Industry Groups, to achieve their strategic marketing and business development goals , while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market, and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media . This role will be located in either our New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, or Houston office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

About The Role

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
- Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
- Collaborating with lawyers, Business Development, and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
- Developing internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergies
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and website content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists
- Working alongside the events and sponsorships teams to guide target client list and agenda for strategic events, informed by specialist knowledge of practice and industry group objectives
- Supporting the execution of practice and industry group meetings and retreats
- Helping practice and industry group leaders manage relevant business development budgets
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
- Possess general knowledge of core concepts, principles, and terminology related to finance, financial services and/or fintech
- Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
- Display the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A high school diploma or an equivalent
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent in finance, business administration, economics, marketing, or a related field, preferably
- A minimum of four (4) years of cumulative experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of related subject matter experience and related analytical experience
