This role requires a strong balance of relationship management, retention, and new business development to grow and maintain a thriving book of business.
Position Overview
The Personal Lines Account Executive plays a crucial role in driving the growth and retention of personal lines clients. This position is responsible for managing a book of business, developing client relationships, and providing expert insurance solutions tailored to our clients’ unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of personal lines clients.
- Provide expert guidance on coverage options, policy changes, and risk management solutions.
- Proactively communicate with clients at renewal periods to ensure retention goals are met.
- Resolve service issues efficiently and escalate when necessary to maintain client satisfaction.
Sales & Growth:
- Meet and exceed new business growth targets (minimum $78K in new revenue annually).
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to enhance client coverage and meet their evolving needs.
- Develop referral partnerships and maintain relationships with key centers of influence.
- Stay informed on market trends, carrier appetites, and competitive offerings.
Retention & Policy Management:
- Maintain a minimum annual retention rate of 92% within the assigned book of business.
- Conduct proactive outreach to clients on the 45-day renewal list, ensuring renewals are properly logged in EPIC.
- Educate clients on policy changes, available discounts, and potential coverage enhancements.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and mentor junior agents when necessary, contributing to a culture of growth and collaboration.
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities:
- Accurately track client interactions, sales activities, and service follow-ups in EPIC.
- Maintain active licensing requirements and carrier appointments.
- Adhere to agency policies, underwriting guidelines, and state regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance account management, sales, or underwriting.
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive business growth.
- Experience with Applied EPIC or similar agency management systems is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
