Position Summary
As a key member of the Latitude 36 Foods Team, the Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels of materials and products in line with our inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. This position serves as the primary control and audit function for the warehouse and production departments, ensuring adherence to the established procedures and processes. Primary responsibilities include daily inventory analysis to solve inventory discrepancies, developing and implementing procedures to enhance operational efficiency, managing daily physical cycle and special counts, and training and leading the IC Team. The IC Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the inventory system’s integrity and supporting our operation’s overall success.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of related experience and/or training in Inventory Control; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Management or relevant fields is preferred.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Power Point, Outlook, among others is preferred.
- Previous hands-on experience with computerized inventory control systems using ERP or MRP.
- Ability to download reports from ERP or MRP systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and well developed observational and analytical skills.
- Strong supervisory, administrative, and employee relations skills.
- Highly organized and great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Certification in P.I.T. material handling equipment such as forklifts or other lifting devices.
- Business Central knowledge is a plus.
- JET reporting experience is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
- Ensure the safety of all employees operating equipment through proper training on procedures, enforcement of safety rules, enforcement of proper documentation, and overall departmental safety.
- Provide the controls and audit functions for the inventory and activities of the company, including appropriate reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain a cycle count program to ensure all locations are counted at least once per month and keep an accuracy level of at least 99%.
- Provide periodic reporting of results and analysis of root causes of errors and implement correction action as needed.
- Lead and develop the Inventory Control Team to foster a skilled and engaged team.
- Function as gatekeeper and control all inventory adjustments, ensuring proper approval, recording, reporting, and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor temporary inventory location balances (“cc,” “dock,” etc.) used during the weekly cycle count. Ensure timely investigation of cycle count errors and disposition of these temporary location balances.
- Obtain tote counts from customers and maintain a tote reconciliation to track the tote count at the Company’s facilities, the various customer locations, or in transit every month or as needed. Responsible for contacting customers if variance is determined during reconciliation.
- Perform cycle counts at offsite locations and production facilities on an as-needed basis in the absence of a cycle counter.
- Lead weekly presentation of expired and obsolete inventory.
- Review open work orders and assist the production team in reconciling the corresponding transactions.
- Oversee work performed by support personnel.
- Assess slow-moving inventory and determines the disposition of inventory items. Works with QC and warehouse management to produce DMR paperwork to relieve inventory and physically dispose of materials. Set up QC part numbers for inventory items determined to be reworked or disposed of. Prints and reviews dumpster sales orders and negative PO reports weekly to ensure transactions are entered in a timely manner.
- Partner with Purchasing and Production department teams to develop action plans to reduce and eliminate excess and slow-moving inventory to minimize supply and dumping.
- Provide written documentation of any procedural issues causing inventory inaccuracies to management and meets with appropriate managers to determine & implement corrective action.
- Review and correct negative quantity on hand report on a weekly basis adjusting negative quantities to actual quantities on hand.
- Prepare and present Monthly Inventory PowerPoint presentation to the leadership team.
- Lead the transition to Business Central from our current ERP system.
- Maintains a safe and secure inventory area.
- Must be able and willing to work night and weekends when needed.
- Must be able to support Warehouse team as needed.
- All other assignments, responsibilities, and projects as assigned by management.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary.
- Must be able to utilize P.I.T. equipment, such as forklift or other lifting devices, to be able to work at heights.
