About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Industrial Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 8 years of national-level experience in industrial security and a background as a Staff Action Officer. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on industrial security policies, compliance, and risk management while serving as a key advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders. This role requires deep expertise in federal industrial security programs, regulations, and best practices. Active TS/SCI required.
\n- Policy Development & Compliance:
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations on national-level industrial security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD directives, and other relevant standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate security plans, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, government agencies, and industry partners on industrial security matters.
- Represent the organization in interagency meetings, working groups, and policy forums.
- Serve as a liaison between government entities, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve complex security challenges.
- Staff Action Officer Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and manage high-level correspondence, action plans, and reports for senior leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to address security-related initiatives and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
- Analyze and brief leadership on industrial security trends, risks, and recommendations.
- Risk Management & Assessments:
- Conduct risk assessments of industrial security programs, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Oversee and review the implementation of security controls in classified and unclassified environments.
- Evaluate contractor compliance with security requirements and perform site inspections as needed.
- Training & Education:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff and contractors on industrial security policies and best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the professional development of the security team.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
