We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Plumbing Superintendent to oversee and manage all plumbing-related activities on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role requires a strong background in plumbing installation, maintenance, and supervision, as well as the ability to manage a team of plumbers, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will ensure all plumbing work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Project Management : Supervise and manage plumbing operations on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring all work is executed according to project specifications, drawings, and local building codes.
- Team Leadership : Lead and coordinate a team of plumbers and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed efficiently and safely.
- Scheduling and Coordination : Develop and manage detailed plumbing schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the designated time frame. Coordinate with other trades and contractors to ensure smooth project progression.
- Quality Control : Ensure all plumbing installations meet or exceed quality standards. Perform inspections and address any quality issues as they arise.
- Safety Compliance : Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and best practices on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all workers are properly trained in safety procedures.
- Material Management : Oversee plumbing material procurement, ensuring that necessary materials are on-site when needed and are handled in a cost-effective manner.
- Budget and Cost Control : Monitor and manage the plumbing budget, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
