Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Application Administrator with experience in Oracle technologies (e.g., Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle APEX access, REST APIs, or Oracle Database 19c) and Apache Tomcat. The ideal candidate will support and maintain critical web applications, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. Experience with SharePoint and/or JBOSS is a strong plus. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of web application administration and the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex environments. This is a 6 month contract to hire and requires a Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
\n- Web Application Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain web application platforms, primarily focused on Oracle technologies (e.g., ORDS, Oracle APEX, Oracle Database 19c) and Apache Tomcat.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize web applications to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and server-related issues promptly.
- Oracle Technology Management
- Manage Oracle APEX environments, REST APIs, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) configurations.
- Oversee Oracle Database 19c integrations and ensure seamless application performance.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and backups to maintain system integrity and security.
- Server Administration
- Configure and manage Apache Tomcat servers, ensuring secure and efficient web hosting.
- Administer and support additional web application servers such as JBOSS (if applicable).
- Implement and maintain best practices for server monitoring, maintenance, and security.
- Collaboration and Integration
- Work closely with developers, database administrators, and other IT teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate on integration projects involving SharePoint, JBOSS, or other third-party platforms as needed.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Documentation and Support
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide end-user support and training as required.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption as appropriate.
$55 - $70 an hour
