Job Overview
This position will require knowledge of all the Translation’s Department products, processes and delivery capabilities. The Translation Associate will assist the Translation Project coordinator and account representative in handling all translation requests from LATN clients.
The associate will provide support to the translation process from beginning to end, making sure that all steps are completed efficiently and with particular attention to quality and customer service.
The Translation Associate must have excellent computer skills in order to process large amounts of information using Excel spreadsheets and other software, while also adhering to strict deadlines and balancing many projects at a time.
The Associate's main responsibility is to maintain high level of customer satisfaction by understanding and communicating clear instructions to the Translation Team, and delivering the services according to the client’s specifications.

The Key Responsibilities of a Translations Associate include:
- Process requests from clients via email, phone and in-person requests.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, linguists and internal team members.
- Ensure that all projects are completed and delivered to the client by the established project deadline.
- Assist with the continuous recruitment and screening of translators and editors.
- Proofread, format and finalize documents for many language pairs before delivery. (Please note a second language is helpful but not required to perform this task)
- Create, access and send periodic reports for client and internal analysis.
- Ability to learn new softwares such as SDL Trados to analyze and complete translation projects.
