Job Summary: Latva Machine, LLC, a busy machine shop, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the facility.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean and maintain breakrooms and common areas, wiping down surfaces and organizing spaces.
- Dust and clean machinery, equipment, and work surfaces as needed.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Maintenance Manager.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify the Maintenance Manager when supplies are running low.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly.
- Assist with occasional deep cleaning tasks, such as window washing, carpet cleaning, or floor waxing.
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning needs during your shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and safe handling procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Work Hours:
- 20-25 hours per week, typically from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility based on the candidate's availability and shop needs.
