ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Laudisi Enterprises — the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Cornell & Diehl, Peterson of Dublin, and Low Country Pipe & Cigar — are searching for leadership candidates who can embrace the energy of a fast-paced environment to serve as a Team Lead in our expanding Shipping department.
The backbone of our entire organization, our Shipping department plays a critical role in our continued dedication to customer service. We receive daily emails and testimonials ranging from, “Wow, I got my order ridiculously fast,” to, “I purchased 100 different products, and there are no mistakes. Amazing!” — all due to the hard work of our team of intrepid Shipping Associates, who ensure our customers continue to receive their orders, exactly as they were placed, as fast as possible.
Leading this dynamic, fluid team, our Team Leads are trusted to determine who does what and when. Team Leads at Laudisi are not just model Shipping Associates, they also understand the hourly and daily flow of operations (based on a mix of cold-hard data, insight into product launches, promotions, and regular performance evaluations) and use that understanding to deploy Associates to various areas in our warehouse throughout the day in order to meet business needs. Our Team Leads keep our Associates sharp and focused through ongoing coaching and by running interference and minimizing distractions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise workflow & keep a high pace of daily Shipping operations
- Ability to work weekends with some schedule flexibility (open availabilty)
- Train new associates on basic workflow methods and procedures
- Investigate and attend to exception orders
- Solve minor inventory issues
- Communicate with other departments regarding customer orders
- Ensure completion of daily end-of-day tasks
- Invest in the success of the department!
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Be punctual, reliable, and flexible
- Attendance on-site
- Availability to work days and weekends
- Work autonomously while also building strong working relationships with management and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Be a focused team player each and everyday
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 50lbs frequently throughout the day
- Pass a criminal background check
