Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on IT professional with strong technical expertise to lead and manage IT systems, infrastructure, and operations for our growing company. The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of IT functions including WMS, EDI, security, networking, and daily operational IT tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by implementing and managing critical systems that are vital to our fast-paced logistics and warehousing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the company’s IT systems, including WMS, EDI, security, network infrastructure, and more.
• Set up, configure, and manage IT hardware and software systems.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including integration with scanners, label printers, and other warehouse technologies.
• Ensure network security and troubleshoot any issues related to firewalls, internet connectivity, and system access.
• Maintain and manage phone systems, internet accounts, and security badges/access systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and third-party service providers as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for client-facing interactions, ensuring that IT systems and solutions align with client expectations and needs.
• Provide technical support and assistance to staff members and assist with technical training as required.
• Manage IT-related projects and help develop strategies for system upgrades and improvements.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, manage network security protocols, and ensure the company’s IT infrastructure is secure and robust.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies that improve company operations, support growth, and enhance efficiency.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure best practices and compliance.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration and understanding of IT systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT management, including systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in coding, system integrations, and the ability to set up and manage EDI connections.
• Experience with WMS systems is highly recommended or a combination of experience with similar software and the willingness to learn WMS.
• Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industries is beneficial but not required.
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, security systems, and internet connectivity.
• Familiarity with telecommunication systems, phone systems, and network infrastructure management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors. A customer-focused mindset with the ability to solve problems quickly and professionally.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and solve technical problems efficiently.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may shift quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a smaller company or with a hands-on role.
• Prior experience with WMS systems.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new IT systems and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with business process improvement and change management.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
