Starting Pay: $25 - $40 per hour (Based on Experience & Certifications)

If so, Launch Marketing & IT Services is looking for an IT Field Support Technician like you.
In this role, you’ll travel to client sites to provide hands-on IT support, troubleshoot complex issues, backfill Tier 2 onsite roles, and assist with various IT infrastructure and low-voltage cabling projects. From network issues to hardware swaps and everything in between—you’ll be the go-to tech that keeps our clients running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide on-site IT support at client locations—resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Serve as a Tier 2 backfill technician, supporting internal IT teams during absences or surges in demand.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, phones, mobile devices, and network equipment.
- Execute installations, moves/adds/changes (MACs), and repair tickets on a variety of systems.
- Work on structured cabling, network installations, and other infrastructure projects.
- Communicate job status, issues, and updates with project managers and clients in real time.
- Complete detailed documentation, including service reports, checklists, and photos, submitted within 24 hours.
- Travel to job sites within a 70-mile radius (reliable transportation required).
- Follow all company safety protocols, policies, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven ability to deliver technical field service with professionalism and efficiency.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking layers.
- Comfortable working solo or alongside client IT teams in fast-paced environments.
- Solid understanding of:
- Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Networking concepts (IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Routers, switches, access points, firewalls
- IT peripherals (printers, VoIP phones, etc.)
- Experience in low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber, etc.) is a big plus.
- Ability to interpret and follow detailed technical instructions and documentation.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel up to 70 miles round trip per job.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment.
- Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable using tools like TeamViewer, Putty, or RMM platforms.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- CompTIA A / Network / Security
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience
- BICSI Technician or Installer Certification
- Experience with:
- POTS/VoIP systems
- Security camera systems (DVRs/NVRs)
- Network configuration and diagnostics
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
