What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Launch UC?
The Launch UC team is searching for a Program Coordinator that will support operations of Launch UC. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and take the initiative, be flexible and adaptable, able to work on multiple competing projects at the same time, have excellent organization and time management skills, strong attention to detail, able to quickly learn a variety of student information systems, and competent in Microsoft Office suite. Further, the ideal candidate will be able to work both autonomously and, in a group, or team environment, able to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and have a strong commitment to team culture.
The Program Coordinator for Launch UC will assist with management of the student application and admission process for the unit, generate and distribute reports to track student enrollment and academic progress, assist with student funding and billing, update and maintain student records, assist with course ordering and student registration, assist with secondary partner textbook and technology needs, as well as serving as primary contact for responses to program inquiries.
Occasionally, the Launch UC Program Coordinator will be asked to take part in in-person events which may occur on weekdays, weekends, or evenings as needed to meet unit and/or secondary partner need. Events are scheduled in advance.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Design/create and conduct seminars, classes, workshops or programs.
- Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
- Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.
- Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants. Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
- May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
