We are seeking an experienced VP of Sales with Food/Retail Grocery experience to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth through outside sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technical sales and account management, with a strong background in sales leadership and customer service. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing sales teams, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Duties

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize sales processes.
  • Conduct market research to stay current on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Utilize technical sales skills to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and prospects.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with business goals.
  • Manage and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.


Qualifications

  • 5 years of Sales in food, CPG or Retail grocery experience.
  • 5 years of Sr. Dir or VP level experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing sales teams.
  • Excellent customer service and account management skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Travel: 30-40% based on needs.
