Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to ensure our supply chain and logistics operations function properly over our 2 creameries (one in Petaluma, one in Sonoma).

You will be responsible for the overall strategy and execution of supply chain (sourcing /purchasing, customer service) and logistics operations (hauling in, central warehouse, shipping) to maximize service to customers, and our profitability.

OVERALL:

  • Manage Teams in Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehouse and Shipping
  • Analyze supply chain data, resolving potential issues, while placing alternate plans in place
  • Establish the Supply Chain strategy

PURCHASING:

  • Manage and maintain a good relationship with our vendors
  • Maximize our profitability and secure supply to guarantee production
  • Forecast/Planning based sales plan
  • Work with Marketing and R&D to source new packaging when needed
  • Identifying and mitigating risks by assessing the demand of products and adopting new technology while mitigating interruption to the process

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Supervise order entry/prep/ invoicing, assuring orders ship OTIF
  • Build forecast/planning: fluidity w sales are key
  • Evaluate and report on KPI’s

INVENTORY:

  • Manage, organize, and optimize our warehousing
  • Build central warehousing capability in Sonoma for all three brands (LC, MFC & SBC) = one warehouse
  • Prepare reports and communicate inventory measurements to each Plant Manager
  • Work with each plant facility to determine and setup intercompany physically transfers
  • Supervise Inventory control activities including physical inventory and reporting
  • Monitor inventory levels to mitigate shortage / surplus risks

SHIPPING:

  • Ensure OTIF delivery of all orders
  • Optimize shipping costs and schedule, including to reach Eastern Warehouse/Customers
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance, while maintaining cost effective practices

IMPORTATION:

  • Oversee the importation process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize duties.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and ensure timely and cost-effective import of materials and products needed for production.

SUSTAINABILITY:

  • Assist the French team in developing a carbon footprint analysis.
  • Conduct customer surveys to gather insights.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and service levels.
  • Coordinate with various departments to execute strategic initiatives

CO-MANUFACTURING:

  • Manage relationships with co-manufacturers to ensure the efficient production of goods according to specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor production schedules, resolve any operational issues, and optimize costs while maintaining product consistency.

MASTERDATA ERP:

  • Oversee the management of master data in JDE, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all supply chain systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to update product, vendor, and inventory data, and ensure that changes are reflected in real-time to support efficient operations.
  • Ensure data integrity by establishing and enforcing data governance practices within the JDE system.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Finance and Marketing, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important, as well as great leadership and communication ability.

Experience/Skills needed

  • CUSTOMER ORIENTATION / Bias for Action / Growth Mindset / Breakthrough Thinking / Teamwork
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain as individual contributor as well as 3 years management experience
  • Ability to support a consensus position that will satisfy no one fully but satisfy business needs fully
  • ERP/Systems fully mastered as well as SC tools APICS certified
  • LEAN Management / TPM / Six Sigma is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
