Laura Leon Law, PLLC is currently seeking a Administrative Support Associate with exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys and paralegals, encompassing tasks such as document preparation, client communication, monitoring attorney calendars and deadlines, and offering administrative assistance.

Job Description:

  • Works in tandem with attorneys and paralegals in completing assigned tasks and projects.
  • Drafts legal documents.
  • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
  • Assists attorneys with case preparation
  • Assists Paralegals with administrative specifics
  • Collect and record fingerprints from individuals for identification purposes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Assist in the processing and submission of fingerprint data to relevant databases and agencies.
  • Support various departments by providing logistical assistance, administrative support, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain and manage fingerprinting equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in proper working order.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of fingerprint collection and processing activities.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other organizations as required for investigations and identification processes.
  • Assist in training and orienting new staff or volunteers on fingerprinting procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct routine audits of fingerprint records and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries from the public regarding fingerprinting services and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • General computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing, email, and forms software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English & Spanish language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take actions independently.
  • Ability to receive and analyze information.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using fingerprinting equipment and related technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in forensics or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a law enforcement, forensic, or administrative role is preferred.
  • Legal related experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) REQUIRED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
