Lab Technician Wanted - Inclusive Workplace Hiring Individuals with Documented Disabilities

This position is part of the Oregon Forward Program, which is an Oregon state government procurement program managed by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS). The program is intended to encourage and assist individuals with disabilities to achieve maximum personal independence through productive and gainful employment. The program assures an expanded and constant market for Oregon Forward products and services, thereby strengthening an Oregon Forward employee's vocational goals and capacity for self-support.

What You'll Do

Prepare materials to support our production goals.

Use production equipment that require the ability to meet deadlines and goals to fill orders for customers.

Ensure all laboratory instruments are properly calibrated and maintained for optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with lab equipment.

Prepare and handle chemical solutions and reagents in adherence to safety standards.

Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and reordering materials as needed.

Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety protocols.

Prepare materials to support our production goals.

Ability to stay on task and a keen eye for attention to details.

Collaborate with team members and communicate findings clearly.

Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively with peers and management.

Your Qualifications

High school diploma/GED

Ability to follow direction.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Time management skills

Relevant education or experience in a lab setting.

Enthusiasm for innovation.

Positive attitude and ability to pivot between tasks.
