Job Overview:
Laurel Links Country Club is searching for an experienced and dynamic Lead bartender or mixologist to join our team. The club is a premier family-oriented club located on the North Fork of Long Island. As the Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, and leading a team in providing exceptional experience for our members and guests. Your leadership is key in maintaining a smooth flow of service while upholding the values of our club.
Key Responsibilities:
· Exemplary customer service.
· Knowledge of cocktail recipes and efficiency in making cocktails during peak hours.
· Overseeing, and completing the daily operations of the bar, including all prep, organization, and cleanliness of the bar and bar area.
· Preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
· Maintain inventory control, ensuring all areas of the bar are stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is in working order.
· Monitor and maintain bar safety, ensuring responsible alcohol service and compliance with all legal regulations.
· Assist in creating and updating the drink menu.
· Build rapport with club members, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
· Coordinate with servers and other staff to ensure seamless dining experience.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar including regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent (Bartender/Mixologist certification is preferred)
· Minimum of 1-2 years experience working as a bartender in a supervisory role (preferred)
· Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others
· Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· Ability to work Wednesday-Sunday 12pm-9pm along with holidays in the summer
· TIPS or equivalent responsible beverage service certification preferred
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
