About Us:
Laurel Oaks Assisted Living Facility is dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. We prioritize dignity, comfort, and personal care, ensuring each resident looks and feels their best. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Barber to provide professional hair care services to our residents on a regular basis.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible part-time hours, typically once per week based on resident needs
- Contracted
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide haircuts, styling, shampooing, and other basic hair care services for residents
- Offer additional services such as perms, color treatments, or trims based on resident requests and facility policies
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following all safety and hygiene protocols
- Engage with residents in a friendly and patient manner, creating a positive and relaxing experience
- Schedule and manage appointments efficiently to accommodate residents’ needs
- Ensure all tools and products are properly sanitized and stored.
- Communicate with staff and families about residents' grooming preferences or special requests
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed Barber in the state of Michigan
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and maintain an organized schedule
