Laurel Parc, a beautiful senior living community just north of the Beaverton/Hillsboro area seeks a Events Coordinator to join the Administration team! This position will be responsible for planning, directing and managing events for Laurel Parc residents. This position will also be responsible for following procedures for holidays and special occasions as they occur. The Events Coordinator will use creativity to plan and coordinate events to ensure the happiness of our residents.
Pay: $23.50-24.00
Shift: Part-Time
SUMMARY
The events coordinator is responsible for successfully planning, directing and managing various events for our upscale senior living community. This position will also be responsible for collaborating and following specified procedures for holiday and special occasion events as they occur. The Events Coordinator will use their own creativity to plan, coordinate and oversee the many engaging events held which help to ensure happiness of our residents and often their families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, directs and manages all events for residents on Holidays and special occasions for the calendar year.
- Meets with residents about requested events they would like to hold and use your creative skills to plan and prepare.
- Organizes the specified venue and ensures that seating and décor is set up appropriately.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- Consults with service providers and vendors such as entertainers, transportation companies to ensure all services rendered are completed. Arranges payments and evaluates all services provided.
- Collects and analyzes data on projects undertaken and reports project outcomes.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Displays excellent communication including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure
Qualifications
Language Requirement
All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
