Supervisor, Business Office - Behavioral Health Treatment Center

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and high performing Supervisor of Business Office to join our team at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center. Laurel Ridge Treatment Center has been providing specialized behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment since 1987. Located in North Central San Antonio, our 330-bed facility, sitting on 29 acres, includes the University of Texas Charter School, gymnasium, multipurpose room, recreational facility, playgrounds, swimming pool, ROPES (Reality-Oriented Physical Experiential Sessions) Course and dining area.

The ideal candidate will have experience and competencies in the following areas:

• Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferably in a hospital setting
• Insurance billing and collections
• Insurance denials
• Claims and billing troubleshooting
• Cash collections goals
• Working directly with Insurance companies to solve payment issues

This is not a remote position. This position is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities:

The Business Office Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing daily operations of the Patient Accounts / Business Office team. The Supervisor duties include but not limited to ensuring positive patient relations, modeling Service Excellence Standards, providing expeditious resolution for patient account problems, and assisting the Director of Business Office with department processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school education (diploma or GED) required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience of healthcare business office leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Managed Care, Commercial and State Agency policies and requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits, costs and performs financial counseling.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Must be comfortable communicating directly with patients recovering from a behavioral health crisis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
