Join Our Caring Team as a Noc Shift Medication Technician!
Location: SE Portland, Assisted Living Community
Shift: NOC (6 PM – 6 AM) on a rotating schedule with every other weekend off!
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Medication Technician to join our dynamic team in providing top-notch care to the residents in our Specific Needs/Assisted Living Community. The ideal applicant should have experience working with adults/seniors with mental and behavioral conditions. What You’ll Do:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.
- Support residents in self-administering medications with guidance, while adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Be a source of emotional and physical support for residents, including one-on-one interactions during quiet times.
- Report any changes in residents’ conditions or behaviors to ensure timely interventions.
- Maintain accurate resident records, including medication and behavioral distribution, service plans, and observations.
- Participate in monthly training sessions to stay current with new skills and best practices.
- Take accurate vital signs and record weights as part of overall health monitoring.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medication room and cart.
- Occasionally serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management, showcasing your leadership skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required; proficiency in English is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computerized MAR systems preferred.
- At least one year of related experience or a combination of education and training.
- A passion for working with the senior population, with prior experience in mental health and elder care preferred.
- Willingness to participate in monthly in-service training sessions.
