Job Summary:
The billing supervisor role will oversee the day-to-day operations of the front office. He or she will be accountable for the monthly monitoring of charges and collections, reports related to appointment scheduling, A/R, and audits of outstanding charges. This individual will promote the efficiency and productivity of the front office team.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
· Work collaboratively with physicians, administrator, and team to resolve billing related issues.
· Provide guidance and support to patients/parents regarding billing inquiries and disputes.
· Lead team to improve and maintain collections.
· Communicate with patients and team members effectively.
· Utilize metrics to improve performance.
· Manage and ensure compliance with all office policies and procedures.
· Reconcile billing issues with payers.
· Reviewing and addressing claim denials in a timely manner.
· Work to resolve any outstanding internal issues related to charge collections.
· Prepare and analyze monthly reports on Days in AR.
· Communicate with management on day-to-day issues.
· Train team members to ensure quality work and to meet department goals.
Qualifications:
· Certified Coder with a focus on medical billing and coding is preferred but not required.
· Strong communication skills.
