Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters Needed - Lower Westchester County

Do you LOVE animals? Does getting fur on your clothes in exchange for sloppy kisses and cozy cuddles sound appealing? Are you willing to put in the amount WORK and LOVE it takes to care for our four-legged friends?
Laurie’s Leashes is looking to expand, and we need reliable, trustworthy, animal loving folks to join our awesome team in our mission to be there and take care of our furry (or hairless…sometimes scaled) friends whenever they need us.
We strive to give our clients and their pets the HIGHEST QUALITY pet care possible and promise to treat them as if they are our very own. Our Walkers/Sitters WANT to connect with and get to know the pets and their individual personalities and needs.
Previous work with pets (other than own) preferred but will train the right person!
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. It can be our busiest time but, don’t worry! You’ll get a holiday too :)

License/Certification:
- VALID Driver's License (Required)
- Pet CPR & First Aid (Preferred)
Requirements:
- You LOVE and RESPECT dogs, cats and all other pets
- Be over 18
- Live in Lower Westchester
- Have own vehicle and valid driver’s license (pet friendly vehicle preferred but not required)
- Be willing to consistently commute throughout Lower Westchester **This job requires driving from client to client, do not apply if commute is an issue**
- Pass core background check
- Have experience working with a variety of pets other than your own (but will train the right person!)
- Willing to work in all the weather conditions
- Clean up any messes created while on our watch
- Own a smart phone that can run our software
- Having a flexible schedule to accommodate our clients’ needs
- Can supply excellent personal and professional references

Skills:
- Must be capable of working with all breeds, and dogs from teacups to giants!
- Trustworthy, attention to detail and exceptional work ethic is a must!
- Must be reliable, responsible, dedicated and punctual
- Must be able to work independently and be proactive
- Must be personable and able to communicate with clients and staff
- Basic knowledge of overall pet care, with additional training provided

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
