Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing sales activities, executing marketing strategies, coordinating trade shows, and enhancing our brand presence through social media and other channels. This role also involves lead generation, website monitoring, and customer service responsibilities. Frequent travel to industry events, customer sites, and trade shows is required.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of leads from multiple sources, including inbound inquiries, website traffic, trade shows, and industry networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and partners.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Marketing, Social Media & Website Management:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to support business growth.
- Manage social media accounts to increase engagement and brand visibility.
- Create content, including posts, videos, and case studies, to showcase our products and services.
- Monitor website traffic, inquiries, and lead generation efforts, making updates as needed to improve engagement and conversions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with sales goals.
Trade Show & Event Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Manage event logistics, booth setup, and promotional materials.
- Network with potential customers and industry professionals to generate leads.
- Customer Service & Inquiry Handling:
- Respond to customer inquiries, providing product information and support.
- Handle customer service requests and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on leads and inquiries to maximize conversion rates.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine business strategies.
- Develop and implement initiatives to expand into new markets.
- Track and report on sales performance, lead generation efforts, and marketing ROI.
- Work closely with leadership to align business development efforts with company goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and customer relationship management.
- Experience managing social media, website analytics, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
- Experience in trade show planning and execution is a plus.
- Customer service experience with a focus on handling inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
