Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alteration Specialist to join our dry cleaning and laundry team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing garment alterations and repairs, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform alterations and repairs on garments including hemming, taking in/out seams, replacing zippers, patching, shortening/lengthening, etc.
Conduct fittings when needed and offer professional advice on alterations.
Handle delicate fabrics with care and ensure all work meets quality standards.
Communicate with customers about alteration requests, expected outcomes, and completion times.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and alterations in progress.
Ensure all tools and workstations are kept clean and in good working condition.
Follow safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a tailor, seamstress, or in garment alterations.
Strong sewing and garment construction skills (hand and machine).
Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and team oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a dry cleaning or laundry environment.
Ability to work with a variety of sewing machines and tools.
Bilingual abilities a plus.
