Food & Beverage Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of our food and beverage operations at an existing fitness club located in Greenwood Village. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and managing a high-performing team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food and beverage outlets, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management Scope:
- Coffee Shop (Year-Round) – Located centrally in the fitness facility, this cafe features high-end coffee, smoothies, and adult beverages. Food options will include baked goods, grab-and-go items, and other selections from local partners. Will oversee a staff of 4-6 workers.
- Poolside Cabana (Seasonal) – Casual summer food offerings for families. It will include some crossover with the coffee shop’s grab-and-go items for parents. Adult beverages will be available. Will oversee a staff of 2–3 food service workers, 2 cashiers and 4–6 roaming waitstaff.
- Kids’ Summer Camp Lunch Program (Seasonal) – Coordinating weekly menu selections with the camp lead, placing orders with our production partner, and setting up a streamlined delivery process. Will oversee an Events Coordinator.
- Member Events – Managing client expectations, primarily for beverage service at monthly member events. Overseeing larger catered events, securing partnerships (beer/wine/liquor brands, food trucks, local chefs), and handling staffing/rental needs. Staffing will vary based on size of event.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest dining experience
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests and staff
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements based on feedback
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the food and beverage budget, including cost control and revenue generation
- Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Monitor and manage labor costs
- Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff
- Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
- Create the staff schedule
Menu & Beverage Development:
- Collaborate with the culinary staff to develop and update menus
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into menu and beverage offerings
- Manage beverage programs, including wine lists, cocktail menus, and beer selections
- Manage relationships with vendors
Event Management:
- Oversee the food and beverage aspects of special events and banquets
- Coordinate with event planners and clients to ensure successful events
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a catering setting
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and achieving financial results
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of food 1 and beverage operations, including 2 menu development, inventory control, and cost management
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Proficiency in POS systems, including Square and Toast
- ServSafe, TIPS Certifications required.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (Preferred).
